February the month of love… and can we tell you we have felt the love!
Our feet have not hit the ground. Never could we have imagined another summer of the housing industry continuing the way it has.
January saw the busiest start to a year on record according to Rightmove, with more than 218 million visits in the month. Continuing into February, it appears that there is no sign of the market slowing as over one week they then reported that buyer demand was up 35% compared to the same period last year.We certainly felt the buyer demand continued with many applicants registering their details.
It was also reported by Rightmove that new listings are up by 12% year on year in the South West, couple this with a higher number of property valuations,it leaves us looking at positive signs for more of a balanced market in 2022. So far this year we have carried out twice as many valuations compared to last year. Although many are not quite ready to come to the market, they have said they have every intention in the next few months to put their plans into action.
Random Act of Kindness Day
On Thursday 17th February we teamed up with Flowers Of Kingsbridge and placed 5 beautiful bouquets around Kingsbridge. We received amazing feedback from the lucky people who found the flowers and are so happy to have brought a smile to peoples faces. This will definitely be a day we celebrate each year!
A blink and February has passed!
With lots of completions, exchanges and secret properties going under offer, February certainly will be a month to remember! We have had a record number of ‘bonging the gong’ and celebratory glasses of fizz this month, and many cakes from Sarah and Nicola to celebrate birthdays in style.
As a little thank you to the team for their continued hard work and dedication, a corporate membership has now been purchased for the Dartmouth Golf and Country club. So after a long day in the office, we can all wind down and have a much deserved sauna and swim.
Looking forward to welcoming March, with warmer weather, lambs bouncing around in the fields and great lighting for property photo shoots.
