Charles Head and Son is an Independent firm of Estate Agents, Auctioneers and Valuers established by the original Charles Head in 1902.  The firm has over the years built up a reputation as a solid, reliable professional firm with a high degree of personal service from its Directors and Staff.

Over the years the business grew: first in Salcombe then with an office in Kingswear and finally in Dartmouth.

The Directors of Charles Head and Son are all very experienced and have great deal of local knowledge.  In the Kingsbridge Office Tony Head, the Great Grandson of the founder has been with the firm since 1972 and deals with residential agency sales and valuations.  Robert Cattell joined in 1975; he handles both residential and commercial and is the firms Auctioneer and Chattels Valuer.  Richard Turton, who joined in 1991, is a Chartered Surveyor and takes care of the extensive Property Management Portfolio ably assisted by Frith Chadwick who manages the Residential Lettings Department.

The Salcombe Office is run by Bob Petit who was brought up in Salcombe and has very extensive knowledge of the property and the people of the town.  He is assisted by Lynn Darch and Liz Walker, local to the town with vast knowledge.

The Kingswear Office is run by local Director Michele Stevens who lives in the village with her family.  She has extensive local knowledge of the area.

John Clarke who ran the original Kingswear Estate Agents until merging with Charles Head and Son, still lives in Kingswear and although officially retired still provides a guiding hand on the tiller and helps when required.

The Dartmouth Office is run by Director Bob Hollies; Bob is very experienced.  He spent 24 years as an Estate Agent in London and the Home Counties before coming down to join Charles Head and Son.  He is assisted by Erin Rogers and Kay Hopley, both local to the town with vast knowledge.

Marine and Riverside           This is an association together with other likeminded Independent Estate Agents specialising in quality coastal properties that was founded by Charles Head and Son in 1996.  This small group has 13 offices covering the property hot spots of Devon and Cornwall.  We are able to display each others properties in all of our offices and we produce four specialist Coastal Collection Magazines a year promoting our properties and providing a unique and specialist agency service.
